PELATIHAN TRIASE DAN BANTUAN HIDUP DASAR (BHD) PADA RELAWAN KEBENCANAAN DI INDRAMAYU

Heavy rainfall, river overflows, and high tides have caused flooding in several areas of Indramayu, requiring swift response and cooperation from all parties. The purpose of this community service activity is to improve the knowledge and skills of disaster volunteers in Indramayu Regency regarding field triage as part of disaster preparedness. This activity was carried out at the AKSARI Health College Campus which was attended by ERT (Emergency Response Team) disaster volunteers and BPBD Indramayu Regency with 17 participants. The method used in this activity started from the preparation stage, socialization and implementation with the empowerment method and participation of volunteers through lectures, questions and answers with the help of power points, demonstrations and direct practice. Triage and BHD (Basic Life Support) simulations were carried out and at the end a reflection evaluation was carried out. Assessment analysis was carried out verbally through interviews to assess knowledge and skills by observing the implementation of one by one participants. The results of this community service activity showed that all participants understood the concept of triage and were able to practice directly how triage was carried out in the field, as well as carry out BHD actions. This community service activity increased the understanding and skills of disaster volunteers in Indramayu Regency about field triage.Keywords: Counseling, Elderly, Diabetes Mellitus
