Pembangunan Bank Sampah sebagai Upaya Pengelolaan Sampah dan Meningkatkan Kesehatan Masyarakat

The problem of household waste in Dusun Cinet, particularly inorganic waste that has not been properly managed, and had the potential to reduce environmental quality and become breeding sites for disease vectors. The objective of this Community Service Program was to increase community knowledge, awareness, and participation in household waste management through the Waste Bank Program. The method of implementation consisted of preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages carried out through socialization activities, education on organic and inorganic waste segregation, and assistance in Waste Bank management. This activity was conducted in October 2025 in Dusun Cinet, Bulurejo Village, Gondangrejo Subdistrict, Karanganyar Regency. The results show that the activity shows that there is an increase in public knowledge about the importance of waste sorting from the source, and a Waste Bank has been established as a means of managing household waste that has economic value. The conclusion of this activity is that the Waste Bank Program can serve as a community-based waste management solution that supports the creation ofa clean and healthy environment. The recommendation is that the existing Waste Bank should be managed sustainably with active community involvement and continuous support from relevant stakeholders.
